Test of SKU060051 LED from Banggood.com
Sun, 6 September 2015
Few weeks ago, on 4th August I ordered on Banggood.com very cheap diodes which has been described to have very very good parameters for that price (0.78$/piece). SKU060051 warm and cool white versions. I didn't believe that the diodes will be good but I decided to give them a try. I started to test that diodes with my soviet photometer Leningrad 6 with photocell based on cadmium sulphide which was used in analog photography in 1970'.
I didn't tested lifetime. The only thing I've done and it's worth mentioning is comparision between Osram G4 12V 20W Halogen and SKU060051 diodes.
Not 10W, but absolutely worth the money.

Measurements
Firstly, I measured light in normal daylight conditions (I must increase gamma level on video, so increased brightness isn't any additional lighting, it's increased gamma). The measurement was 12.0 units.
Secondly I measured cool white diode. The measurement was 15.05 units.
Next one measurement was Osram 12V, 20W Halogen G4. The measurement was: 13.5 units.
Next, I tested warm white diode. The measurement was 14.5 units. I must notice, that light temperature is significantly different than cool white, and it's truly warm, little cooler than halogen light.
Additional remarks
The diode matrix is combined from 9 diodes. And it's getting hot at maximum current (1A), so cooling (for example by radiator) is needed.
